In the Netherlands there is a need for recovery of native plants. This is important for the survival of flora and fauna. An example is the existence of (wild) bees that take care of pollination of plants and our food. “Forgotten seeds” demands attention for these original plants. It is important to know our original flora instead of the imported exotics, which often proliferate.

This is an installation of handmade paper, from 8 different chosen native plants. The visibility and beauty of the fibers, the color, the transparency and structure make the plant species more special and exuberant. And encourage the viewer to take a closer look, feel and realize our historical heritage and the importance of nature.
