For more than 20 years, Loes Schepens has been researching and making paper from plant fibers. She works in her studio in The Hague and her work is shown all over the world. A selection of her artworks can also be seen in the display gallery Paper Art & Design situated in front of her studio. On irregular base Loes gives workshops, individual and for groups. There are also opportunities for collaboration with students or professional artists who would like to work with paper for a particular project.
Perhaps shaped by images and colours from the countries where Annemieke Louwerens was born (Colombia) and raised (Algeria, Australia and Brunei), her work has a very specific individual visual language. Annemieke (re)uses mathematical patterns and colour combinations that manifest themselves in different ways each time. Her signature is unmistakable to those who become familiar with her work.

In this three-day masterclass with Loes Schepens and Marieke van Mieghem, you will learn various techniques: paper making and preparing an indigo dye bath (day 1), making paper yarn and dyeing (day 2), spinning and weaving (day 3).
