The 2- and 3-dimensional works of art are handcrafted from plant (residual) material, such as home-grown flax. But also asparagus peels, nettle, iris, primrose or another preferably local native plant are processed into art objects. In recent years, Loes has also engaged in botanical dyeing of her works. For this she uses madder, weld, indigo, yellow chamomile and barnyard wormwood, among others.
