In the Netherlands, there is a need to restore native plants. This is important for the survival of flora and fauna. An example is the existence of (wild) bees that provide pollination for plants and our food. ‘Forgotten seeds’ calls attention to these original plants. It is important to know our original flora instead of the imported exotics, which often proliferate.

Forgotten Seeds is an installation of handmade paper made from 8 different native plants. The visibility and beauty of the fibers, color, transparency and texture make the plant species more special and exuberant. And encourage the viewer to look more closely, empathize and realize our historical heritage and the importance of nature.
