A group of 9 stewards from The Linen Project worked together on clothing for working on the flax field. Specific tasks such as sowing, weeding, and even taken photo’s during the work require specialized clothing.

Loes’s wall art reinforces that feeling. It reminds us of nature, of taking time to slow down, and of the beauty of simplicity.

Flax is a plant that lends itself extremely well to making extremely strong paper, by means of repelling, breaking, scutching, heckling and many other processes you make a short fiber from the long stem.

Three artists/designers dove into the paper studio for a week to research making herbal paper.
Forgotten Seeds
The starting point for the installation Forgotten Seeds is biodiversity. In the Netherlands, the bee population is declining dramatically and more attention may be paid to native plants.
Artist in Residence Hoorneboeg
Loes did an Artist in Residence at the Hoorneboeg estate. She was inspired by the surroundings and created new work with plants from the surrounding area.
